Yarn and wool have been used as materials for clothing throughout history and they were one of the easiest materials to work with and it didn’t require the need for people to go out and kill a mammoth or equally large animal. People realised that they could look after sheep and that wool would be a staple and that they could then dye this wool into a number of different colours. Over the years we have moved away from using just natural wool and we have found polyester, acrylic, cotton and bamboo alternatives.
