Starting with the most obvious reason first, one benefit of growing your own fruit and vegetables is, it will save you lots of money!  If you have the time and space, of course, growing your own fresh, healthy food is definitely one way to save some of your hard-earned pennies.  Ideally, growing the crops in your own garden but a small allotment would be just as good. Potatoes, carrots, beans, cabbages, strawberries, and apples to name just a few of the assortment of fresh fruit and vegetables you could grow and eat yourself.

If you are starting a gardening project and it’s on land that you don’t know the history of, then it’s best to get advice from remediation contractors such as who will make sure the land you are planning to use is clean and not contaminated. If you plan your garden well and research which vegetables and fruits grow the best in each season and what the young plants need to flourish, then you shouldn’t have any problems. Hopefully you will have an abundance of ripe, healthy crops and not only have enough for you and your family to eat but have enough left over to sell at a local market, or to family and friends.
